Open science is the movement to make scientific research, data and dissemination accessible to all levels of an inquiring society. It encompasses practices such as publishing open research, campaigning for open access, encouraging scientists to practice open notebook science, and generally making it easier to publish and communicate scientific knowledge and results.
The ESASTAP 2020 workshop on open science is targeted at representatives from academia, private sector, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Government who are involved in promoting open science. The workshop will stimulate a robust discussion around open science and its role in international cooperation. The workshop will also explore cooperation initiatives. The workshop will be followed by an ESASTAP 2020 cocktail in the evening of 20 February 2017 at 18:30.
